The Iron Daughter (Iron Fey Series #2)

The Iron Daughter - Julie Kagawa Heart-Stopping......When I first started reading this book, it was intense from the very beginning. Everything was thrown out you one after another. Meghan is now at the Winter Court and things are not looking too good for her. Ash dumps her there leaving her like a bad habit. Meghan falls into a deep slumber, waking up not as Meghan but as Iron, where no one can hurt her or betray her again. Now once again Meghan is on the run. Accused of killing Sage and stealing the scepter, Meghan is a wanted dead girl. Meghan is joined by Ash who is also called a traitor for helping Meghan. But now that Puck is back, Ash's jealousy grows much more as Puck's fondness for Meghan is there in front of him every stop of the way. Ash decides he can't take anymore and leaves Meghan....This book was one heck of a roller coaster. The way she gets treated by everyone is staggering. Of course being a summer fey in a Winter Court there are bound to be hardships. The words and the way Ash spoke to Meghan were cutting threw me like knifes. Yet Ash is still reluctant with his feelings as he tells her he can't be with her. He leaves her! I couldn't believe he would do such a thing. Of course leaving her left an opportunity for Puck to come in and rescue the heart-broken, stranded princess.Meghan can;t help but hear the call of her heart. She breaks down in front of Puck crying. I felt for Meghan, break-ups can be so draining. Meghan goes through lots of drama, actions, and lots of fights getting she needed to be. But nonetheless, Meghan picks herself up determined to save the fey world once again from extinction from the new Iron King.Julie once again out did herself in writing this book. It is a book I can not simply put down. All of her story was captivating, luring me to the very end. I enjoyed reading this. I found myself heart-broken, sad, mad, happy, gasping, everything that can make your heart jumble. I love a good book that plays with my emotions. Julie gives you a heart-stopping read that you can never imagine.
