The Kiss Off is a sweet book about loss, love, and finding yourself.The first thing that captured me about this book is the great plot line. Writing a song about cheating boyfriend and friends, I felt Poppy's anger. I loved that she expressed her emotion through a song with out any violence. Poppy is a typical teenager that everyone can relate too. She has homework, friends, and a life that is spinning out of control fast. With each new chapter, the reader sees Poppy set on on a journey on what is the truth.The truth. It hurts doesn't it? Poppy goes through some life lessons and struggles with answers. Her friends are always there to support her. I like that in the midst of her trouble Poppy takes a step back and really tries to figure out what to do. She doesn't lay back and forget about it. She wants to help, wants to change, wants to be friends. I liked this part of her overall character.Now the love interest in the story is all kinds of awesome. First I like both the guys in the book. Both are unique in their own kind of way and both have deep feelings for Poppy. The mistakes that they make are mistakes that everyone makes. I adore how in the end their true feeling comes outs. The drama in between, holds the reader till the end. Your going to have to read this yourself of you want to know who she ends up with *wink*The Kiss Off is an charming, coming of age story that I think every teen can relate to. From teen angst to a blooming romance, The Kiss Off if what you want to read.
