So far, Jordan has been able to resist him, but she can no longer. She thought he was dead, she went to his funeral. And now Micheal is at her window but he is not the same. He is a VAMPIRE! Jordan also deals with parents who are never there. Which forces her to drink. Now when you read as much vampire book as I have, you find it diffcult to find something good and that is not overrated. This book was a good and easy read. Every page had some different element in it. The plot was very good and well written. Marrone does an absolute good job growing the suspense about Micheal's true intentions. She also caputred Jordan's teenage voice beautifully.Jordan self-medicates herself by binge-drinking and isolating herself. She soon discovers that she is not fighting Micheal but her feelings for him. I was hooked right to the very end! Jordan quickly realizes that she needed to grow up and deal with the Micheal problem. And she did!This book is also dealing with your own issues. Jordan had many issues in the book and she knew it. She just didn;t want to deal with it. She wanted someone else to come in and take care of it for her. She finally manage to find herself and suck it up. Go Jordan! I was happy when she finally confessed what was going on to her mother. And it was about time her mother step in to help her.It has quick references to sexual things, and it has some illegal substances in it. It was cleaner than most books I've read.. I recommend this book for an older teenager. (16 and up)
