Review: Through The Zombie Glass

Through the Zombie Glass - Gena Showalter

Excited to finally read the story, I found myself falling even deeper into the rabbit hole.

Plot: So this story picks up where the last book left off and Alice life is about to turn upside down.  This plot mainly dealt with a lot of insecurity within Alice. All of a sudden she is questioning herself and everything that she went through. At times, I felt frustrated with the plot simply because I wanted Alice to be done with this hurdle of insecurity. I wanted her to be strong. The plot also consisted of lots of plot twists and betrayals. There is another group out there with a motive so strong that they are willing to kill for it.

Love: Now, the love interest is really what the entire story revolves around. Alice and Cole love deteriorates  fast. And all because of lack of evidence and insecurity. I admit that this part really got on my nerves. I grew tired fast of the whole back and forth thing between them. Cole acts like such a jerk that I want to slap him. A lot of blame is put on Alice. The betrayals and who she is or rather what she can do, I got really angry when everybody was quick to point a finger at her. Alice is dealing with so much emotional stuff that it felt like she is fighting this whole zombie thing on her own. And really, she did.

Zombies: Well the zombies are getting smarter and Alice is able to do things that others are not. She is slowly changing, mind and body. Soon Alice figures it out and it is only a matter of time before Alice is well…still Alice.

An intelligent story that is more than the readers see, Through The Zombie Glass is a journey with zombies like you never read before. Suited with a strong storytelling, Showalter captures the readers with a well written plot and character. A wonderful and sinister read, Through The Zombie Glass is a tea party you won’t forget.
